"Condensation"

"Condensation" compresses the experience of love by focusing on the shorthand that makes up media representations of love’s process and progress: the stereotypical introductions, declarations, frictions and endings of romantic entanglements.
Suspended at the end of a downtown alley is a projected image of a larger than life, floating human face. Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be two, overlapping human faces. Similarly, the audio also consists of overlapping dialogue, with the speech of the two people we see speaking merging and diverging. The video is a 6 minute loop comprised of 4 couples (some of the characters are matched with more than one partner) completing the delivery of the same lines. On occasion, they speak the same words simultaneously.
